beat board and illustion
PART 1!
List down 9-15 key words that represent you. Link up the words into a simple story and
illustrate through colours.
- Analyse the scene through expression of colours similar to
Assignment 1A. Ex 4 ( subjective abstract painting ). You can apply the colour schemes that you
have learnt earlier to convey the message and moods.
- Label each panel with the storyline ( print the text. No handwritten)
- Size of each painting [8cm X 6cm], landscape ONLY
- No words or symbols in the painting (numbers, arrows…etc). Only COLOURS. Abstract illustration
of the figure/object is acceptable.
- You should display a contrast of moods and values
- Experiment and be creative with different painting techniques and textures
- Use any painting medium except papers
- Mount all creations onto the A3 Size mounting board (refer to examples given)

Sad, happy, ice-cream
Everytime when I’m feeling down (sad), ice-cream never fails to cheer me up (happy)

from the book to represent the text with an illustration.
- Size of the design [ 9.5 X 6.5 inches ], leave about 1 inches border around the work
- Landscape/Portrait
- Only paintings in any medium
- Mount the creation onto the A4 Size mounting board (refer to examples given)
TEXTS-
1 - [ You’d be surprised how may ways I change on Different Coloured Days]
2 - [ Some days, of course, feel sort of BROWN. Then I feel slow and low, low down ]
3 - [Gray Day…Everything is GRAY. I watch. But nothing moves today.]
4 - [On Purple Days I’m sad. I groan. I drag my tail. I walk alone.]
5 - [ But when my days are Happy PINK…It’s great to jump and just not think.]
6 - [ On other days I’m other things. On Bright Blue Days Iflap my wings ]
7 - [ Then come my BLACK days. Mad. And Loud. I howl. I growl at every cloud. ]
8 - [ Then comes a Mixed-Up Day. And Wham! I don’t know who or what I am! ]

So for Part 1, have you done anything on it? Like choosing the mood that you wanna portray and stuff. And the story that you wanna tell.

part one i've already did a rough work.. but part two i dunno how to do. i'm thinking of number 8. then i wiill do like a votex but with alot of colours to show that it's mixed up.

Ohhh... Good... If there are rough works and developments, do show us. From there, we can advise you. We cannot talk over empty table right?
Part 2
I would say that the last one is one of the most complex. Looking it that it's mixed up, there are supposed to be more colours. So, you will still have to indicate what each colour means. I would certainly go through each text to see which is the best idea that I can produce, before making a final decision.

Do show us your passion to learn. Or rather, the effort to score an A. Now there are people who can help you, for instance, Edwin and myself.
When I'm in poly, there isn't anyone there to guide me. I just pass day by day to graduate. And finally in year 3, then I found the importance to get good grades.
Again, help yourself, do yourself a favour. DO EVERYTHING WITH 200% - 300% EFFORT. The results will be way above your imagination.

Lol, don't need to say sorry to us de. You have to feel sorry for yourself, cos it's your project afterall, your grades.
But despite all the lecturing and nagging, hope you can truly understand how design goes about and how you should develop your idea to the final project that you want it to be.
Hope that after what we've discussed about yesterday, you can show us something that we are more interested to see.

A phrase in network marketing which I find true to a certain extent. When you think you have put in 100% effort, you have actually put in only 50%. You have to do til you rack your brains and have everything squeezed out of you. But you have to THINK deeper into what you are doing. Not just look at the paper and the surface of everything.

Each topic, 1 week. Not to mention we only got time after office hours. Unlike them, we can't hog onto the projects all the time. Thus, your discipline and coordination must be very good.
Priscilia, I am glad that I am starting to see the effort. Even though you still seem lost, it is okay. As long as you keep trying hard, we will keep guiding. Now, your next thing to take note is to think slightly deeper into what you are doing or going to do. Don't have to think so deep, take a step at a time. You don't know what thinking very deep means, you start off with baby pool.
