I think lalehlo or either way makes our forum looks too sui bian, it makes it seems like we are those very heckcare one. Then people might think "aiya, sure some cockster, bengs de forum la".

For me, I don't think it this way because it shows the Singaporean culture in a way. Besides, I think I have mentioned it somewhere. We better not get hopes too high that it will be like SGC because it will not and never be, neither will it be like Flowerpod.

This is because our community is very small. We need to know exactly what is required to expand it rapidly. That's why it is a public forum which is still considered a semi-private.

There are many many underlying forums out there, with a community of less than 50 people or so. But how they get these people? Games. Their forums are about games. So they attract gamers. As for us, what will be our attraction? That's why I am thinking of all sorts of funny names. LOL.

Ya, lalehlo is Singaporean culture. But I suggest we use only 1 of it, like .. lim.kopi-la. lalehlo just dont sound good to me. Or something like ... walaoeh. Like that.

Lol... Lalelo can don mean about Singaporean culture. To us is Singapore culture. But to the others, it might mean something else till they actually learn is Singapore's culture to say La Le & Lo... Well... Maybe we can add stuff to it, so it creates something with depth, rather than jus la le & lo...

Ok, Kopitiam is not in the dictionary though, but if a company is using it, definitely it will be copyrighted. You can use it in normal conversation and in chatting... But if you're going to use it for something that might mislead their original plan which his the food industry, I think they might sue us for that.

I'm still not quite sure. Have to see about it.

Hahahhaa... Aiya, maybe they have already checked that 'Kopitiam' is not being copyrighted, therefore, they strike first loh. Then the rest of the kopitiams have tiam tiam liao loh.

Aunties call it kopitiam as a form of dialect. Some people say ka fei dian. Some called it by their block number. So I think that Kopitiam is somehow safe. Kopitiam is using it as a word or as a merchandising tool for the food court. Haha.
